Isn’t it great to get an insight into the lives of other Mum business owners?
It can be extremely reassuring to discover there are other Mums out there just like you, struggling with the same issues, the same doubts, and the same fears.
It’s also inspiring to share in their successes, because if they can do it then you can too right?
Even better if you can find out HOW they do it!
That’s what our new Real Life Mum’s series is all about – showcasing Mums just like you, facing similar challenges and getting real results that YOU can learn from.
We have chosen Mums from our tribe who have impressed us with their action-taking, their commitment and their results. These Mums are all at different stages of their business journey – some just starting out, others more established.
The common theme you’ll find across all these Mums’ stories?
- They will inspire you that it is possible
- They will motivate you to keep going
- They’;ll share some of the ‘short-cut’s they have used along the way to get their best results
May’s Real Life Mum: Celia Hogan, Founder of Little Kiwis Nature Play
After becoming a Mum to two pre-schoolers herself, Celia set up Little Kiwis Nature Play in 2015 with a friend and started running nature-based holiday programmes for pre-schoolers.
It was during this time that Celia started to talk more with Early Childhood teachers about the daily challenges they face and began to realise that her skills in nature based learning could not only be of great benefit to the health and well-being of children, but to their teachers too.
Today you’ll find Celia on a mission to support teachers in the Early Childhood sector to thrive by making time in nature part of their everyday reality, for the benefit of themselves and the children they nurture.
Her goal is to inspire and support early childhood teachers to look beyond the time pressures and daily challenges they face by tapping into nature as much as possible, both at the workplace and outside of it.
This kind of nature-based learning will decrease stress and anxiety, improve physical fitness, and have a big impact on the general health and wellbeing of pre-schoolers and their teachers across the country.
You can see why we’ve picked Celia as our first-ever Real Life Mum ambassador right? Her vision has the potential to have an amazing impact!
But how do you make money from an amazing vision like this?
What did Celia do to get unstuck?
Figuring out how to monetise your idea is one of the biggest challenges you may face and it hasn’t always been easy for Celia either. She felt stuck for a while, but less than a year on has made a lot of progress.
To find out what she did to get unstuck, you’ll have to stay posted because we’re going to be revealing what’s worked (and what hasn’t) for Celia over the last 6 months in our next blog post! [this post is now live you can read it by clicking here)
In the meantime, if you would like to show your support of Celia’s work please take a moment now to follow her on social media – and to tag in your early childhood friends so they find out about her too!
